Loft in the Forest

The Loft in the Forest is a luxuriously appointed, bijou property which provides our discerning guests with a perfect base for a holiday of their choice.

Whether you wish for a quiet relaxed time or prefer the hustle and bustle of holiday havens, the Loft in the Forest is ideally situated off a quiet lane on the outskirts of the attractive village of Burley. Although the Loft is compact, careful design has maximised the use of space and our guests will be occupying a luxuriously appointed studio apartment in a magnificent position.

This rural location is only ten minutes drive from the A31 trunk road with its convenient links to London, the Midlands and the West Country. Woodland, heath and moorland offer our guests a seemingly endless choice of walks or rides. Depending on the time of year you will be likely to see the deer, badgers, foxes, New Forest ponies and cattle.

As if this is not enough, visitors to Burley have only a short journey to the beautiful beaches at Bournemouth, Highcliffe and Milford-on-Sea. The busy harbours of Mudeford, Keyhaven and Lymington are relaxing venues for an evening stroll or a cruise to Hurst Castle and the Isle of Wight.

Further to the west lies Poole Harbour and the Isle of Purbeck with Corfe Castle and Studland Bay. To the east is the major city and port of Southampton and the Naval Dockyard at Portsmouth is home to the wooden warships, the Victory and the Mary Rose.

The Loft is accessed by its own external staircase from which guests can enjoy a view of woodland, gardens and fields. Overlooking the gardens and swimming pool of Yew Tree Cottage, it is fully equipped to accommodate two guests.

A well fitted kitchen area contains an electric oven, a hob and fridge thus providing for the self-caterer and there is a shaped granite worktop for dining. The room is also furnished with a double bed, seating and a coffee table. Entertainment is available from the dvd player and digital television with radio.

Through a door and down two steps is the bathroom. The double ended bath, personal care products, thick piled towels and bath robes are all provided to enhance your relaxing stay at the Loft.

Adjacent to the outdoor heated swimming pool and below the bathroom is the Pool Room. Here, guests will have access to changing facilities, toilet, shower and a washing machine.

Depending on the season, you may wish to enjoy a swim, a quiet time on the pool-side, a rest in the dappled shade of the apple trees or a stroll down through the woods to where the meandering river winds its way onwards towards Brockenhurst and finally joins the sea at Lymington.

The Loft is centrally heated and accommodation rates are fully inclusive of all gas and electricity, towels, bedding, toiletries and a few surprise extras to make your holiday a little special!

Available throughout the year, guests will find the accommodation bright and airy in the Spring and Summer but warm and cosy in the Autumn and Winter - ideal all the year round for an away-from-it all break.

4 night mid-week holidays, 3 night weekend breaks, and 7 night or more holidays available.
Prices start from just £225 for a 3 night winter weekend to £525 for a 7 night high season holiday.

We should like to draw attention to the fact that the Loft and grounds of Yew Tree Cottage are non-smoking areas and that we are unable to accommodate pets.
