
Christchurch is just outside the New Forest to the west, but serves as a good entry point to visit both the New Forest and the Coast.

Priory Church was built in 1094 and has been describe by a visitor as
"the most beautiful Church in England" It is the longest
parish church in England.
It is well worth visiting Christchurch Quay and seeing the lovely swans and to take a boat trip round the river.
Nearby Highcliffe has a small market on Fridays and Highcliffe Castle built in the 1830s has undergone restoration in recent years is well worth a visit.The sea is safe for swimming and lovely walks can be had along the cliff tops.
