Within easy reach of the Apartment there is a lovely public house called The Carpenters Arms that serves meals and two other pubs in the area. From Burley summer time you can go on a wagon ride through forest tracks, and all year round bikes can be hired and you can visit the little gift shops, have a cream tea or even try New Forest Cider. The new forest ponies have the right of way on all unfenced forest roads so please take care when driving.
