Dorset Heavy Horse Centre and Farm park is a delight for the young and the young at heart.

Meet the majestic heavy horses, learn their story, and face new challenges as you Enjoy free wagon rides, and learn to drive a vintage tractor.

Dorset Heavy Horse centre offers interesting daily shows and demonstrations, where you can discover the history of the horses. You are encouraged to have a go at feeding and grooming the horses, shetland ponies, donkeys, kune kune pigs, pygmy goats, ducks.

There is a fantastic adventure play area, straw play barn, covered sand pit, or for the more discerning lucky horse shoe games.

The energetic can enjoy the go-carts and pedal tractors, or bounce away the afternoon on a trampoline. You will find a good value cafeteria and pleasant picnic area, with the playground in sight, ideal for grandparents and parents to relax in.

Or you can wonder around the vintage vehicles and remember a bygone era, have a go at driving a vintage tractor, snuggle a bunny rabbit or even take the reins of a horse and cart.

Birthday parties and groups are catered for, we have plenty of parking - so please come and discover our unique qualities, and have a great day out, whatever the weather!

Dorset Heavy Horse and Farm Park is situated on the Edmondsham Road, within easy reach of Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Ringwood. The New Forest National Park and surrounding areas. From Verwood, which is on the B3081, we are well signposted.
